With two-tier routing and prompt caching on a DeepInfra-backed model, typical software tasks stay in the low single-digit cents. Vireon does not markup your provider bill.

Common pricing questions
Is the Community Edition really free?
Yes. Install and use every CE feature with no account. Pro and Team are optional Enterprise Edition add-ons for cloud sync and team governance, not paywalls on core tools.
How do I activate Pro after checkout?
Sign in at vireondynamics.com, complete checkout, then use Settings → Sign in to Vireon in Liminal Desktop (or run liminal login from the CLI). Your license is stored under ~/.liminal/. No .env paste required.
What is managed inference?
Pro routes chat through Vireon's OpenAI-compatible proxy with a multi-provider catalog (OpenRouter resellers, Kimchi/Cast AI, Bedrock failover). ~$5/mo included credits at pass-through rates (~$25 Team pool). Run liminal login and pick models in the desktop Settings catalog. No separate API key required. Community Edition stays bring-your-own-key with no account required.
What do I pay Vireon vs my AI provider?
Vireon: Pro/Team subscription for hosted EE features; optional managed inference credits when enabled. BYOK: you pay your model provider directly. We do not markup those tokens.
Can I use Liminal at my company for free?
Yes for internal use under FSL-1.1-MIT. Team and Enterprise add shared memory, audit, and support.
